As the year is coming to an end, I thought it would be a good idea to give a round up of the progress ServiceNow has made from a fresh set of eyes and give my perspective from what I’ve observed in the market so far as well as sharing my predictions to what’s to come in the future.
“ServiceNow revenue for the twelve months ending September 30, 2018 was $2.457B, a 39.99% increase year-over-year” .
Since ServiceNow’s launch in 2003 it has surpassed original expectation and continued its growth well into 2018. ServiceNow is very quickly becoming the #1 Cloud PaaS of choice for the new digital enterprise and in many cases ServiceNow retains a large portion of SaaS- based ITSM market, however, ServiceNow has much more to offer than just the ITSM platform.
What is ServiceNow?
In simple terms ServiceNow is a platform which allows anyone to create powerful workflows to get enterprise work finished. ServiceNow cloud service was created to digitise, optimise and predict business processes so what were once complexed tasks can now be done effortlessly.
With the continued improvement to the ServiceNow platform through the evolution of machine learning and artificial intelligence, it can be predicted that other products within ServiceNow such as Security, Customer Service, HR and Business Apps could also make a huge impact to business processes to allow end users to manage work duties more efficiently and effectively
ServiceNow leading the way in Digital Transformation
Although they’re similar platforms which can be utilised in the same way ServiceNow can, I believe it is important to focus on revenue and how ServiceNow is quickly becoming the preferred choice over its competitors. Digital Transformation is no longer a term which is thrown around loosely but rather a term that has disrupted many industry sectors. With more and more companies pivoting towards the cloud, ServiceNow is becoming the main strategic partner of choice to help companies empower their digital future.
As well as this, Digital Transformation is very quickly changing the way consumers perceive and view businesses. As technology advances, consumer needs will also change with more focus being on speed and convenience. Many are calling these advancements of technology the fourth industrial revolution and it can be considered the most influential to date, with the rate of change growing exponentially as intelligence is playing a greater part in our day to day activities.
ServiceNow in 2019
What can we expect from ServiceNow in 2019? Well no one can know for sure what’s to come next. However, based on what are some impressive numbers in terms of growth, I assume we can expect a lot more of the same with investments likely to be pumped into other areas of the ServiceNow platform to improve business practices and perhaps make the platform more user friendly for non-technical personnel. With the advancement of AI and ML this will only improve what can already be considered an effective tool for business to utilise and drive Digital Transformation.
Here are some interesting facts and ways AI can transform the efficiency of your business:
- “75% of cross‑functional teams fail at core objectives, such as staying on schedule and meeting customer expectations”
- “New AI tools can help lower the burden of administrative work, freeing up managers to stay on task”
- “Academic research suggests AI tools will eventually become more like teammates that provide emotional bonds for their human co‑workers”
