It’s August 2018 and the CEO & Co-founder of Datorama, one of Israel’s leading cloud-based, AI-powered marketing intelligence and analytics platform, has announced the completion of its acquisition by Salesforce for $850m.
The acquisition was expected to enhance Salesforce’s Marketing Cloud with expanded data integration, intelligence and analytics, enabling marketers to unlock insights across Salesforce data and the myriad of technologies used in today’s marketing and consumer engagement ecosystem.
Fast-forward to January 2019 and there’s now murmurs of a second Israeli software developer acquisition. Indeed ClickSoftware are rumoured to be the next in line to be consumed by the CRM juggernaut, to the tune of $1.5 billion.
If this acquisition is to be believed, it will be the second Salesforce acquisition in as many days – with the business recently announcing their acquisition of Salesforce Platinum App partner RoundCorner
With the speed at which they seem to already be acquiring platforms, it seems pretty clear that Salesforce is not going to slow down in 2019. And, whilst officials at Salesforce Israel have apparently declined to comment, this is definitely a space worth watching….
