Salesforce has grown to be the most popular CRM system over the last couple of years, and it will be hard to see how this popularity will stop growing in the near future.
Now that Salesforce has made a name for itself as the number 1 system in its field, more and more small and medium sized businesses are starting to take notice and are implementing a version of Salesforce of their own, realizing it enables them to effectively manage their marketing, sales and customer service all from one single system.
Recently, the cloud based CRM has evolved to one of the most customizable tools in its own marketspace, and much of Salesforce’s power lies in utulizing its numerous extensions that are available for it on Google Chrome webbrowser.

Information you can look up in the extension includes for example customer segmentation by location, activity, type and industry. With this available info, it becomes much easier to make informed decisions for marketing and sales purposes.
3. Admin Assistant by CRM Science
If you are a smaller business, you would benefit from an administrative assistant. ‘Admin Assistant‘ is a free extension (hyperlink) that will offer you several tools to help your own admin or business owner to interact with Salesforce in a more efficient and interactive way.
A couple of task that you can outsource to ‘Admin Assistant’ are mass deletion, reviewing report results, modifying profiles, chat integration and profile setting modification.
4. Simpplr Employee Intranet
This is a comms app (hyperlink) that comes at a cost of € 8 per user, per month (with some discounts available to nonprofits). However, this app will create an instant employee intranet that will allow the user to communicate (and therefore collaborate) without any effort.
5. Eventable Calendar Marketing
Back to a free extension. Eventable is a powerfull app and there is much more to be considered than just another calendar integration. It runs effortlessly with Salesforce to become a centralized location to manage the schedule of your entire company. At the same time, it allows the user to see real time statistics that are related to contacts that interact with planned events.
6. ColumnCopy
This free tool is great to easily copy HTML tables from Salesforce into an external format, such as Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
7. Invoices for Salesforce
If you are a business that regularly sends invoices, this is a tool (hyperlink) that might solve many of your problems. This is an app that does not come cheap though, but is worth this is used right! Starting at € 59 per user on a monthly basis, this extension allows you to organize all invoices that originate in Salesforce in a quick and easy manner.
On top of this – users are in control over the appearance and functionality of each individual invoice (for the creative minds). You can change content, layout, design, etc of each invoice so customers are automatically aware of their outstanding balances.
8. ORGanizer for Salesforce
ORGanizer is one of the most highly rated productivity apps for Salesforce users, and if you use it you will understand why.
The extension makes it easy for users to manage several Salesforce logins, acces the most frequently used Salesforce links and it allows you to identify frequently used Salesforce tabs.
All in all, there are a lot of applications and extensions out there that you can harness to boost your businesses productivity and capabilities. As Salesforce continues to grow and expand, I wouldn’t be surprised to see even more extensions cropping up.
