I find it amazing how Salesforce is constantly evolving as a business; year on year there are numerous acquisitions, and advancements in their technologies that keep them at the forefront of the CRM world, and ensure that they are market leaders!
And this year it’s not going to be any different. Indeed, less than three weeks in and they’ve already announced plans to boost their Commerce Cloud offering.
Their new Einstein integrations are one of the latest integrations to help retailers attract customers from outside their webstores, and the new features will enable businesses to show product recommendations to customers who have expressed an interest in something similar.
Another Einstein powered feature will be Einstein Visual Search, which enables the customer to upload an image to find similar products.
Clearly, these advancements are going to be revolutionary to retail businesses who are looking to capitalise on potential customers. Indeed, with the customer journey becoming increasingly complex, these added capabilities by Salesforce will enable organisations to capture the attention of shoppers by showing them relevant and personalised products
As Mike Micucci, CEO of Commerce Cloud at Salesforce put it:
“Digital commerce no longer starts with just a shopping cart. With Salesforce Commerce Cloud, companies have a trusted partner who can help them meet their customers wherever they are and deliver commerce everywhere through a platform full of AI-powered commerce services, APIs and a robust partner ecosystem.”
It has already been an exciting start to 2019 in Salesforce; not only have they announced an expansion into Ireland, an addition to their mobile portfolio and the acquisition of RoundCorner (all in the last week or so), so it will be great to see how they grow as a business over the next 12 months… I’m predicting it will be their best year yet!
