With Dreamforce around the corner, the Salesforce announcements are coming thick and fast. The latest? Salesforce are launching new tools that lets business users build their own customer applications with clicks, not code.
The move is fuelled by Salesforce’s mission to give business people more involvement in application business, as EVP and GM of Salesforce Lightning Platform, Anne DelSanto, noted:
We want to extend the power of CRM by democratizing app development. This is all in an effort to fit together with our passion in bringing IT and business together so they can work side-by-side in digital transformation.
The announcement brings three new low-code capabilities to the Salesforce Lightning CRM application development platform, plus enhancements to AppExchange: lightning object creator, lightning flow builder and lightning flow actions and smarter recommendations.
With these enhanced abilities to connect data objects into a complex process flow and bring in sophisticated pre-built capabilities, there comes a new level of flexibility and productivity for Salesforce’s customers and users.
But this definitely won’t be the end-point for Salesforce low-code. As technology advances, Salesforce is constantly at the forefront of the revolution, so it will be interesting to see how they advance their capabilities as they go.
