This year has been the year of digital transformation, and that trend shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon. So, reflecting on this, I’ve decided to take a look at the 3 companies in the tech ecosystem that are not only close to my heart, but that have been called out by Forbes as being vital to both the tech industry and digital transformation as a whole.
Starting out in ITSM, ServiceNow has quickly grown to a broad application to automate tasks across functions and is used by some companies as the “central nervous system” of digital transformation across the organization. Digital transformation – as well know – is contingent on the ability to react, and to move quickly. As more and more competitors enter the market, businesses simply have to be able to automate; making ServiceNow so key to digital transformation initiatives today.
In today’s digital world, the customer experience is key. And that’s where Salesforce has become so key. The customer journey is becoming increasingly complex, and business success relies on the ability to connect these dots, to deliver better and more personalised experiences to potential and existing clients. With their plethora of offerings, Salesforce has solidified their position in the market as a provider of tools to help companies not only manage their customers effectively but also identify high-priority customer segments and prospects.
Whilst ServiceNow cut its teeth in the world of IT services, Workday was busy doing the equivalent for human resources function. Providing a cloud-based software system that unifies a wide range of HR functionality, alongside more advanced tools to help with the management of HR and financial performance management, Workday has made themselves integral to digital transformation initiatives by focusing on the key factor of change: people. By driving the human change, Workday is powering digital transformation from the inside out.
I, for one, am interested to see how these technologies continue to evolve and drive digital transformation!
